As far as Frogturd diminished /crpg/'s caster anons' reputation, he was right on one thing - you need initiative or you're getting fucked in the ass.
Starting Act 1 you'll fight Minago + 3 Vrocks and if you're going 1st - you just weird Minago and skip the fight completely.
Every "fight after cutscene" may be annoying like this.
Brown-Fur Transmuter gets gorillion of Dex via Fire body(gives +10 Dex at level20 which is higher than any belt in the game) so you can survive first rounds but you still want Dex anyway. You don't need Headsets + 8 and belts +8 with him so you can equip 2 items that land +4 initiative each instead so its kinda compensates but you will be lacking Loremaster's spells and your metamagic is fucked.
