Had a $160k net worth back in early 2022 but I made an extremely dumbo move and aped in about $100k or so into the market literally right before the Ukraine War started and Powell hiked rates like crazy (yes I bought that big dead cat bounce circa early 2022 when btc went up to $48k). Got giga rekt and to make matters worse made wrong move after wrong move and missed out on so many opportunities to make my money back (ie: holding VRA that absolutely wretched puke diarrhea shitcoin and missing out on say SOL at $10, Bonk at $20m mkt cap, etc. because I was diamondhanding VRA like an absolute moron). I did come super close to breaking even March '24 but didn't sell because I was like $5k away from finally breaking even. Got turbo rekt again. Fast forward to today and am down 60% from breakeven. The market looks very toppy atm and I'm feeling full despair. I'm also neet over the past few years and the job market for CS degree holders like me is utter fucking dogshit. I did have a job before 2022 but I crashed out and left it. I don't know what else to do, especially when every entrepreneur idea out there is too oversaturated now thanks to fucking covid making everyone an wannabepreneur.

That we NEED normies and their collective liquidity to return to this space for us to truly have the magic of '17 and '21 ever again, but they simply refuse to come back this time around. Now, sadistic whales create fakeouts to give us false hope and yank it away from us prematurely. What an absolute sick joke of a "cycle" this has been, I don't think we'll ever have another bull cycle again.

P.S.: if you smartasses want to respond with shit like "btc went from 15k to 120k and sol from 10 to 290 what more do you want?" I'll just tell you that a real alt season has ALL alts pumping parabolically spare a few microcap shits, alt season is NOT just a few select whale picks pumping.

And at the same time act like they're "poor"? I can go into another argument about living beyond your means but that's not the question of this post.

Question is, how do I keep hearing about all these well off couples and what not with outrageous salaries ranging from $200k all the way up to $500k+, and it's so commonplace almost like it's normal? I know they're statistical outliers but I need to know how it's so common and how to get into one of these legend tier jobs. I know FAANG aren't the only employers who offer these outrageous salaries, someone PLEASE tell me the secret of getting into these jobs.

P.S.: I know many of you will answer with stuff like "nepotism" or "i got invited into private equity out of Wharton" or some shit like that, but again I'm asking about the commonlity of such jobs and how to get into them like it's a casual walk in the park kind of thing.

Nepotism is what makes you HUGE bucks, and yes that most especially includes crypto (sol cabal if you don't believe me) these days. When you're born into a family who's not rich and also they never knew anyone + you were never the popular kid during your school years, there's no worse year to try and make it than 2025.
