They didn't dick around with Ronin, its combat system is well sculpted like the one in the Nioh's, it's just that the open world is an absolute turd. Overall really feels like a PS2 game with modern combat and ubisoft style open world all strapped together. The effort is very respectable.

the worst marketing for any game I've ever seen. that vignette series was shit, information was so ambiguous that people thought the generic cardboard cutout character they kept parading in the trailers was a fixed protag and there wasn't a character creator anymore.
Otherwise, it still has the strong points of a TN RPG; stellar combat.
