K-Silver released capacitive sticks early this year, but barely anything's released that uses them so far, and they have an extra pin compared to their hall/TMR sticks so they don't swap into any boards that weren't designed specifically for them.
There's been speculation on how they work, but I've yet to see a definitive teardown. All I know is they're advertised as driftproof, not the same as the ones Valve used, and the budget PXN P5 8K using them has absurdly high stick resolution, especially for its price point.
Ultimately I expect it to be nothing more than a marketing gimmick.
