the whole point is to respect horizons discussion and not butt in and shit all over the place with nostalgiaposting. both discussions are great to have, but they are discussing separate things. so leave room for each. everything in its right place.
and also to not shit up the board with tons of random threads about specific incidents or episodes or characters of the original series when they can all go in one comfy nostalgic general.

i watch it. it's fine, it's nice in its own way. it's a different cup of tea to the original. how could it not be. it's a different time, anon. different world, different culture. i do find horizons bland in direct comparison. it's very apt for zoomers and this new gen after zoomers. gen alpha? gen a? awoomers? it suits them and their 'vibe' and sensibilities. the original series, esp the beginning of it, suited us (millenials) and our 'vibe'. ash was a strong minded bratty hothead shithead in comparison to the horizons protagonists. the horizons protagonists are sissified lobotomized vaxxed SSRI fluoride stare modern youngsters compared to ash. but...it works in their overall story environment. classic ash would be totally out of place in it. they would be completely lost in the original series, like japanese tourists in 2025 paris. just don't go looking for the ashnime, just regard it as something totally different, and you'll be fine. enjoy it for what it is, i have enjoyed watching it. everything in its right place.
