If it hadn't been for Onosato's recent debut and rapid rise to the top, Dan's sprint from literal who to sanyaku mainstay would've been the most exciting thing to burst onto the scene in sumo in ages. And Onosato was already a well known quantity when he started in makushita so even his incredibly successful early career isn't quite as eye popping as Dan's.
Dan 100% merits all the attention he gets and its going to be hilarious when he balloons up to 190kg and loses all he balance and agility and his knees fail and he ends up having a fairly short career hovering between upper juryo and m15
