I actually think they're pretty good for long fps sessions, they let you spread your arms at much more ergonomic angles, I find myself kinda hurting in my pectorals after 10 hour gaming sessions with my full size keyboard, however I do love and very frequently use my numpad and I think a happy medium would be a detachable numpad or a separate one or even just having two keyboards for different use cases
