Not to derail into becoming like, /adv/. But most of my family is stuck in the 1980s mentally. And over time it's become so exaggerated that they have no capability to comprehend what even my job is because they just don't want to engage with anything after that period. So I just can't talk to them. I just don't want to become that guy who only reads stuff from "their time" and anyone who reads new things is a retard, you know? Very personal worry, and I'm actively trying to not be an egotistical shit just because I'm an old rotten fuck so it's not much of a worry. I just need to play catch up a bit with the new novels. I'm sure some are good. It probably doesn't help that a lot of VN Devs are shifting to other styles now. It really is dying I guess. Sucks to get back in at the time I have.
