I've only watched the anime, but it really needed something to spice it up. Something along the lines of his friends finding out he's actually an adult male and getting creeped out or some sort of reflection on his part whether that life was sustainable at least. No such scenes, when his dick grew back it was just 'this is fun, lets keep going' and that was the end of that.
