It's a very good box for any chaos space marines army, except maybe emperor's children, as i have never seen them in real life, so i can't evaluate how they're compared to other chaos marines.
My CSM army is build out of HH models. My next plan is to build DG out of it. TS also would work perfectly.
Of course, you need to do extra kitbashing and you need alternative source of bits. Good sources are kill team box of legionaries or a box of plague marines. In your case, the perfect source for kitbashing is - guess what - box of rubrics. But also 3d printing of course.
And yes, rubric flamers are great.
Another problem is what to do with the dreadnaught? If i'd play TS, i tried to kitbash it as a Mutalith Beast, but to it as a diorama (sorcerers are standing behind the dreadnaught, doing some esoterics stuff, transfering energies to dreadnaught who itself is a magical construct now).
I don't have better ideas. Maybe just sell it on ebay, saving money.
And the last, but not the least: HH marines are very easy to build, it saves a lot of time and they are a perfect material for kitbashing. They're my favorite miniatures in entire warhammer range.
