Aren't they all kind of ugly, though? Rewrite art is "better" than old Key in a lot of ways, but I have absolutely zero attraction to their character designs. The Rewrite girls just feel gross every time they appear on screen. Their sprites aren't well drawn, their mannerisms aren't cute, their CGs aren't composed well, and the VAs don't do a good job with any of them. Nothing is moe about any of them.
You can call Ayu a deformed freak with bug eyes, but honestly I would bang her over any of the Rewrite girls regardless. They actually tried to give the Kanon girls sex appeal. The all-ages rot in Rewrite just ruins all the characters for me. Kotori might be the only Rewrite girl with any sex appeal at all, and even that is ruined by her writing and mannerisms being seriously unsexy.
I think Key realized the mistake they made with their disgusting, unattractive characters in Rewrite, because Tsui no Stella and Summer Pockets manage to have attractive girls even in an all-ages game, but Rewrite stands out as the Key game with the most repulsive cast of characters of all, and that's saying something. I just can't get past it, man. I don't care if the plot "eventually" gets good in Rewrite. I don't want to see these characters on my screen at any point. The trash art actually ruins the game for me in a way that it never ruined other games with Hinoue Itaru art. It's THAT bad.
