And now Phaidei went down to #2 after 2.5 months at #1 on Lofter search. This implies Hoyo stopped buying searches to keep them on top, marking the end of their support of the ship. This might be the most diabolical yaoi rugpull in HSR history.

Playable characters will have a role in the game and/or promoted online, males included. This is going to ick some waifu-only players regardless whether they skip the banner or the story.
Having both genders while all the characters being humanoid also means that the girls won't wear something that is deemed inappropriate, which again will ick waifu-only players. I've seen the spats and the recently censored character and was like not this shit again.
Personally i'm on the whatever side in this debacle since surely one or two males won't spell doom for the game, but i do hope they're bold enough to put on actual panties for the females.
