I agree. It just had the curse of being (often unfairly, like I did) put against Rabi-Ribi in comparison because gemayue worked on it. To be fair even on a surface level it's easy to see why the game would be less appealing. Focus on a grand epic story which resulted in exploration being railroaded (said story left a lot unexplained and was rushed), "female-friendly" character art (CG art was actually great) and dialogue, a lot of budget spent on otherwise elements not necessary for gameplay like iconic Seiyuus.
BUT it had amazing overworld music and encounter design, on top of Tevi being one of the most satisfying characters to control in the genre.
One ironic issue I have with RR is that even with all that free-form exploration you're allowed, overworld monsters are for the most part not threatening at all. TEVI had me think twice and plan around. It also had many difficult locked rooms gauntlet fights. It's my headcanon that silksong devs unironically took inspiration from it.
