Worse, trashier exploration (literally holding your hand tier) than Rabi-Ribi
Worse characters, designs, and dialogue than Rabi-Ribi
Better mob density/challenge in areas than Rabi-Ribi
Worse music than Rabi-Ribi
Worse badge system than Rabi-Ribi
Worse UI
Worse boss battles than Rabi-Ribi
Worse potential for sequence breaking and other cool search action stuff than in Rabi-Ribi

It's very simplified and looks like a negative overview but despite those faults I greatly enjoyed my time with Tevi. It's a good game

Very complete metroidvania, one of the best I played in recent years. The combat is the best part, I build I made made me mash my controller like I rarely did in an action game. The bosses are a bit less danmaku oriented and more combo oriented than Rabi-Ribi in my experience, but I've seen anons making ranged builds so maybe it's a different experience.
Platforming and exploration isn't half-baked either, even if you're sometimes gatekept for story reason. Story is whatever. Musics are pretty good.

Great metroidvania shackled by a dogshit story with loose ends galore, and it comes at the cost of being railroaded for your first playthrough.

Gameplay is fine. Story, world, characters, dialogue, everything else is pretty bad.
