Is the GQuuuuuuX AKA Amuro voiced by Furuya, then? I wouldn't be surprised if Bamco just let the guy keep voicing Amuro in spite of the scandal even though every other role he ever had was recast. Japanese apathy is overwhelmingly strong, after all. What would be surprising is if they actually found a soundalike for the role of Amuro going forward, though.

Is this going to end up being some kind of allegory for moving beyond the original Gundam series and the Universal Century as a whole, by making the actual RX-78-2 Gundam the final boss of GQuuuuuuX? Because that feels like the exact sort of message that feels typical of early Tomino's works, and something I'd expect from Studio Khara as a whole.
