Nukes shouldn't be taken into calculations, because if we really think that opponent will use them, there's no other way to just bend over and let him fuck us as he please. Or to get nukes by ourselves, which is the only logical solution if you think that Russians will use their nukes against us.

Fact that such infrastructure exists isn't source of "feeling of superiority" but it's effect. We're not like them and we do everything better if we're free from their involvement.

Ukrainians were much more fence-sitting and when Russia invaded them, they lost 30% of their gdp - which in nominal numbers was something that Russia-hating Poland grows in a year or two. Infrastructure can be rebuilt, but first country must be secured from any Russian influence.

Poland is literally in the center of Russian geostrategy in Europe. We will never be considered neutral by Russians and there's nothing we can do about it, except for preparing to fight them.
