Yes voice acting does enhance a story narrative game, this isn't even conjecture or some unknown theory, entire games market themselves based on the voice acting talent they bring to their characters now. It is very important, and for you to say that it doesn't matter when one of the biggest complaints for FFXIV Dawntrail in the West is the voice acting quality for the main character Wuk Lamat, it strikes as not only tone deaf but I would say you don't live in reality, you're trying to pretend these things aren't real that people don't care about them when very clearly they do as evidence by Dawntrail, as evidence by the complaints people have of them adopting Americans VAs instead of British VAs for their cast.
