Death has eaten all of her sisters, it's a gesture of love. Except Asa, but she's adopted (and her favorite), so it's fine.

I would have enjoyed a more Asa-centric story, but I think the problem is that she's just an underexplored character. Unless this finale focuses extensively on her and speeds through every underused faced of her character, she'll likely remain as such, unfortunately.

>Death is planning to make her the new War devil
This seems more likely in my mind.

Behind Asa and Yoru's naming symbolism, an assumption is always held that they represent opposite, yet inseparable parts of the day being "Day" and "Night." But Asa...isn't "Day", she is "Morning", mornings are a period of the day that supersede the night as they come right after it.
In other words, it could be that the symbolism behind Asa and Yoru's name is "Morning vanquishes night".

But Death's biggest threat is herself? how could Asa help even if given the powers of the war devil?
To that I think, ever notice that Death never explicitly stated that she doesn't plan on getting erased?
The biggest hole in Death's explanations so far, is that she attempted to coerce Asa into weaponizing Denji early on and put many efforts to have them together, which is not something that would make sense if she really is that afraid to die or be erased, such weapon can serve no other purpose unless she seeks to defeat an even bigger unseen threat.

I think Death plans to use Pochita's erasure powers to erase only parts of her body to weaken her, the exact explanation behind Yoru's weakened state at the start of Part 2, but knowing her little sister's malevolence, she predicted that given this power Yoru would just erase her entirely to reign in stupidity. Which is why she has Asa.

The biggest hurdle is...how can she drive Asa to harm Denji? I think Asa will be faced with the ultimate choice of weaponizing Denji so she can help Death with her plans to save humanity or allow Yoru's horrific plan, whatever it may be, to come to pass, and she'll be faced with that choice at the end of her prophetic dream.

If I can cast a wild prediction, I think Asa's prophetic dream already happened and the one coming to weaponize Denji is Asa and not Yoru.

Hm...I think the reason Shiga called Asa her "little sister" is not because Asa is the war devil, but because she'll eventually become it. It was always part of Shiga's plan to have Asa absorb Yoru.

What killed Part 2 is the fact that Fujimoto made it a dark comedy instead of the dark action shonen that Part 1 was.
It's a story that parades unfunny humor and is completely uncompromised with anything else.
