*ruins an entire generation of pixel-art indie games*

Combat in this game is shit and it's strange that the sling shot, the one weapon type that has any sort of mechanical intrigue, is largely useless as a weapon.

What games are a bit like this but less faggy? I.e. with an aesthetic closer to something like Kingdom: 2 crowns but with the gameplay depth of pic related. Been thinking about buying Timberborn to scratch the itch but its a bit pricey and it seems fairly shallow.
