Very close to finishing johto, I just saw the yogiras/larvitar unknown episode. Honestly, the show gets weaker over time and overall I'm gonna rate it a 4/10. Theres a lot of weird and intriguing episodes early on in kanto and OS has some funny alternstive pokemon concepts but by Johto the amount of random boring filler episodes about shitmons is too much. Also did they really have to switch to ugly digital colors right at the very end instead of waiting until the next series?
As for movies. Movie 1 was melodrama slop and the credits mogged the actual movie. Movie 2 is fun, filled with nice shots and animation and the best thing to come from the anime so far, though from a lore perspective I was struggling to suspend my disbelief with the idea that the three kanto birds being kidnap would cause a world ending apocalypse. Havent watched 3-5 but will before hoenn
