if they moved on to AI they probably weren't passionate about art to begin with, i wouldn't refer to such people as outsider artists, just regular ol run of the mill spergs who needed to see something be made
it's a great thing that not having access to it inspired them to draw but if they dropped it as soon as something easier came their way then they weren't really dedicated to art, just to their particular interest, and don't care how they consume it
a real artist will never drop art, it's their curse, their brain compels them
