Satyros was in a bunch of shitty unheard of heavy metal bands in the 90s. I wouldn't be surprised if he grew jealous of the rising popularity of black metal at the time.
You also have to take in mind he's a neo-pagan lefty, which contrasts with three popular themes in black metal: satanism (satyrboy hates this because "muh christian invention"), paganism/reconstructionism (which opposes the whitewashed neo-pagan/wicca beliefs and instead seeks to recreate proper pagan traditions, including some degree of social conservatism. The "reject modernity" plus mild conservatism of course makes this fascist in the eyes of Brucato and his kin), and actual nazi shit (whether is Vikernes being a clown, or actual NSBM bands).
In other words, ZooPhil is the insufferable modern "progressive" metalhead that writes those shitty articles trying to cancel Deathspell Omega. In fact, he's been that since 90s so he was slightly ahead of his time. Mind you, he's not even like an og grindcore lefty. He probably just picked up that mentality in order to get laid.
