This matchup would’ve had much rage kino, or Asura vs Zly. Having Asura being put up against BETTERMANtos was an absolute waste. Greek Kratos would’ve never lectured Asura pretending to be some moral bitch and brutally kill him or get brutally killed. I hated that “respectful” death so damn much.

I agree. It’s pretty impressive how airtight the game is when it comes to showing Asura’s progression of power without any notable slip ups. It really does help that the game isn’t that long and Asura’s biggest surge in power only happens at the end of the story before stopping there.
