I feel like you're just arguing semantics here anon. From Susie's dialogue with Berdly, despite where she got the game and how long she had it, she could still recall a pretty specific scene from this game I feel like you're assuming she skimmed through.
She even knows Dragon Blazers 2 was inspired by Lord of the Hammer, which means she was interested in games enough to review discourse surrounding them online.

throughout the game, it seems like kris can keep the soul out of their own accord, and for long amounts of time. they spend a whole night doing their duties at the end of chapter 2 (and they talk to noelle during the genocide route) which implies they have indefinite autonomy over their own body. they also seem to talk in between dialogue boxes, as ralsei, susie, and every other character react to something they've said, regardless of the broad choice you the player have chosen. kris is using us, the soul, to their own ends. we just don't know what that is yet.
