I hated grimoires because every source I've ever read made it sound like their generation is insanely complicated and difficult, but it's not.
As simple as possible how to get good grimoires in 1U
>be level 48 or 73, if your character is retired just calculate level to have exactly 50 or 75 skill points available
>level 23 or 98 are also possible but less optimal
>spend points into skills you want on your grimoire, don't forget to re-equip grimoire stone if you rested
>obtain hunting horns in any way you want, dupe or farm conditionals from medusa tree, 20 or so will do
>get good effect from guildhouse until it's the 100% grimoire chance creation
>save your game
>go to B1F solo
>fight any encounter, if your encounter has flies kill them first
>use hunting horn only when remaining enemies have no skills available, on b1f that's either rats, moles or the crab
>if you get a grimoire I immediately reset game, if it's SD or FL go back to town to check what it is
>if you're satisfied with what you got save game otherwise reset and try again
With this method it took me like 2-3 hours of grinding to give my entire team pretty much perfect set of grimoires.
