Considering all the hate they've been getting publicly and all the death threats they've claimed to have gotten after Steam bent the knee, I don't find it too hard to believe it may just be a desperate attempt to muddy the waters, maybe get Ross Scott involved and make a statement about it, just so they could claim he and the SKG movement are personally responsible for spreading hate and death threats and need to be shut down.
