Problem no1. Have you seen them IRL? Have you seen the fringing?
I can conclude that it's too bad, your eyes will struggle to focus at sharp lines due to the 3D going on due to the fringing pixels, the glossy coating will make it even worse, it will sear your eyes out, only if you are gonna use the screen at quite long distances and maybe even with scaling
close distance, good eyesight? forget about it, unless you are prone to these things

the only qd you can try right now would be the 27" variants to reduce it. matte reduces it more, but it's still there

at this point I don't think it's worth unless 27" 4k or 27" 5k, which might fix it, aka 220ppi

if not I am yet to try the WOLED and see if it's less harsh, has extra subpixel but atleast it's regular RBG Stripe not the diamond dots shit

Problem no2. Not sure if Gigabyte has any oled care msi like forced panel refreshes due to the 16h timer. if they do, they will give you aids, due to buggy firmware and many more things. Asus would not have this I think so far.

why would you need to disable DSC? if you have nvidia 5000 it's solved

WOLED fa/g/s, we're at a crossroads. Should I try woled and cope with the lesser worse pixel fringing compared to QD and also suffer the chrominance overshoot/diagonal scanlines if I take the TV Pill?

How fucking bad is the fringing?
How bad is the diagonal dithering?

As long as the fringing does not give you a out of focus look like QDOLED it would be totally fine even if the text is fuzzier and look worse, the dithering idk, maybe you can cope with it

I'm thinking the traditional rgbw pattern will rape your eyes less than the diamond shape qdoled shit

this is your last chance before we return to IPS or until ultra high ppi qdoled arrives
