rife is really cool. but different models for it vary for different videos. for instance earlier versions tend to do better for anime while the up to date versions are more optimized for realistic films.

I'm guessing you would want more dense ram that has less memory chips. The single sided nvme drives will use less power than the dual sided ones for example becaues they have less nand chips on them.

They'll come out with new boards for zen 6 that have higher memory ratings and better power delivery.

the thing is that I don't trust any first revision hardware from asus be it graphics cards or motherboards. I've been burnt by those having manufacturing or design issues before

zen 6 is going to have an overhauled io die that will be able to handle higher mem speeds. I'm guessing it will suppor the new ddr5 ram that can do 10000mhz

current cpus can already run 8000-8800mhz ram but only if the motherboard doesnt have messed up traces or memory training settings
any speeds higher than that will only double down on having a board that's problem free which asus has a history of screwing up until they release a rev2 board 3-6 months later

Got a case, a 4070 super and a bunch of sata and an nvme to go along with this. Not sure about the motherboard and PSU. PCPP says 519 wattage, could I get away with using my current 550 watt seasonic focus plus gold or is the headroom too little?

7800x3d uses like 40-100W? and 4070S uses like 250W at worst
I think 550W psu will do fine with that system

looks alright
however, i think that board has some lane sharing fuckery going on, so if you populate the board with multiple nvme then you'll be kneecapping your gpu
since you have a bunch of storage you are better off just looking at the pcie lane distributions and shares and find one that won't fuck other components by making them run with less lanes if you populate the m.2 slots
in regards to the psu, I've been looking at the tier list in the op and I've concluded anything under 750w is just asking for something to go wrong
for like £25 more than msi you could get the montech titan gold 750w which is better than the msi or for £23 more than msi the corsair rm750x which is way better than those two

As far as I can tell that board doesn't do any bifurcation
Since its X670E and not X870E the lanes that would have gone to USB4 just go to another M.2

Probably overkill for what is (assumedly) a gaming build. It's fine if you need the specific feature set but could save some money if not.
Not to countersignal the other anon but the lane sharing isn't a big deal for gaming. PCIe5x8 has twice the bandwidth of PCIe3x16 (which is still enough for a 5090). Different story if you're going to do GPU compute though.

>could I get away with using my current 550 watt seasonic
Yeah probably. Might trip OCP if it's an old (<2019) Focus+ but that's more of an issue with the architecture than the raw power. Suck it and see.

I'm still using the Xonar DGX (I think that's the name of the card itself, picrel), but will this break when I update to Windows 11? Should I get a new sound card or maybe a USB DAC? I know fuck all about this.

Why not? I have more room for activities with no real downside. If a game doesn't run too well then I just run it in 1440p. There are no negatives.
