I am really starting to understand what people mean when they say "you are not your thoughts" the more i get better at mental dieting, the clearer things are in my head, my mind is more Disciplined now and i have more control over my internal monologues, in the past it felt as if my thoughts were flies that would attack me from all sides, as if it's a hot summer day in the forest, now it feels as if the flies are still there but they are not attacking or approaching me, background noise to put it better.
