Really, though, it does sound like a mental thing to me. Unironically, stop thinking about all this and just lift/eat right as a routine. The rest will follow.
What youve said about the wrist thing is concerning to me. You might be lifting too heavy right now. An injury is never worth trying to progress faster. Personally, I would deload by quite a bit until I had those wrists where I wanted them and go hard on legs during that time. Are either pushing or pulling exercises more comfortable than the other on your wrists? You could also try to focus whichever hurts less a little more, if youre determined to lift heavy while your wrists hurt.
