I lied my way into my first job 15 years ago. I had all the skills and education, but no experience. I faked a job and had a friend confirm my employment.

I worked my ass off and was a great employee. Rolled it into a lucrative career.

Always shoot for mid range jobs if you’re doing this, and make sure you have the skills. Work hard and you’ll succeed.

Jeets don’t educated themselves, buy a degree and land a job, but are incompetent and don’t care about performance.

That’s how you start out in a career. But you grow into more comfy positions. If you are still doing it after a decade, you might need to rethink your plan.

I do live life. I worked hard and built a quality skill set that’s in demand and now I have freedom to choose where I work, who I work for, and how much I work.

I work 100% remote in a tech field and can work from anywhere. And my schedule is flexible. I can work 20 hour weeks if I’m feeling lazy of work 60 hours if I want to bank for later time off. And I have the money to maintain my freedom.

It’s not easy to get to a place where you have freedom though. You have to work hard and struggle. And maybe work for shekelberg until you can escape the grind.

Don’t resist the hard work of climbing the mountain to get to the plateau of freedom. You’ll take lots of wrong turns, but if you keep at it, you’ll find your place.

It’s normal for high IQ people to be lost in this society in their early adult years. We mature slower and there’s no guidance of the type that would be beneficial to us.

I didn’t pull everything together until my late 30s also. Then it all snapped into place and I’m successful and at peace.
