The Greeks were thieves and raiders.
They attacked the Minoans and stole their alphabet.
Linear B was Greek words written by using Linear A symbols.
Then the Greeks made Hephaestus mad so the volcano blew up and we had the dark centuries.
Then the Greeks emerge again, this time with an alphabet stolen from the Phoenicians which they later improved.
This time the Greeks became very advanced, made colonies spanning from modern day Türkiye to Marseilles and Napoli.
They even traded with Albion and Scandinavia, even the ancient Russians.
This of course was hybris as they upset many people so the nemesis arrived and we were punished for two millennia.
Nowhere in that time did we become influenced by foreigners.
We started losing our identity, and our glory when they forced us to become christians.
But claiming that Greeks helped western civilization is obviously false. The Greeks did what was best for them in particular and nobody else.
