Star Trek isn't communism, or capitalism, or anything like that.

It's a post-scarcity economy.
Communism, capitalism, etc, are all theories of how to deal with scarcity and market demands which no longer exist in the face of matter replication technology being so widespread.

Star Trek is not justification for communism, nor is it condemnation of capitalism in itself. It's fantasy in a time where neither are relevant or even possible anymore.
