There are a few things, but what's usually common is having faith, and feeling as it's already done. It's funny really, you can actually see results while still feeling anxious and having doubts, but it really depends on how you navigate them as well; observe how you feel, realize the 3D is a past echo and change how you think about said thoughts. Meditation and SATs are also fairly helpful to allow imprinting on the subconscious, as is visualization. Pick whatever works for you and what you actually enjoy. If you have trouble visualizing then don't force it, try something else.

Basically, you do your technique, if any, set it and move on. It may take some practice, but it can be done. What I do is either meditate by doing some breathing exercises, inhaling light of various colors representing what I want and exhaling stress, doubt, etc. Or, I'll lay in bed on my back (I sleep on my side), and count backwards from fifty or one hundred to zero and then visualize and/or do some robotic affirmations; the backwards counting is actually extremely effective as while doing it I feel myself getting drowsy and even stumbling over myself, so I know whatever I do next will imprint easier and then I can either go on with my day or fall asleep.
