Not shittier, far far better. Anything with light armor can't survive the massive 605 damage and it makes everything with medium stagger from the shot and die from the second. You destroy fleshmobs with it and chargers too. The M90 is a clear winner across the board of shotguns imo. And likely the only thing from the Halo warbond to stay in people's loadouts.

I remember when the eruptor was introduced and was an actual good answer for the massive amounts of chargers on the bug front. You'd have to sacrifice your primary slot for it and have to aim it just right for the shrapnel to land under the bug and kill it.
Then the faggot behind balancing nerfed it to shit. Nerfed it so hard that he actually fully removed the shrapnel from the eruptor and didn't give even a quarter of the damage back on direct hit.
The game is much easier now, this is obvious. But holy fuck I'm glad its it the place it is now rather than the frustrating mess it used to be.
Also I'm reminded about the thermite grenade and how it couldn't even kill ONE devistator with all four grenades. How anyone could ever defend that and so many other issues near launch I cannot say.
