The art and videos of Noelle being gone after Chapter 4 reminded me of a nightmare I had where I did the weird route and desperately wanted to abort it after equipping. Come chapter 5, I couldn't delete the save. It just gave an error buzzing sound. I t try closing the game and it refused to close. Task manager didn't help either. Scared me a little.
