yeah there was that thread on /vr/ with mostly old British game reviews and people were saying stuff to this effect
the garish colours on some of the old British computers were just...odd, like you can say that about DOS or whatever (VGA, EGA) but i don't know, the NES still looks decent, and the games tend to be more arcade-y and fun
i know fewer people had early Nintendo consoles here but i'm willing to bet more people play and enjoy them as retro games, but i've also known proper computer-brained people who love old British computers but for programming and the history
