It's true though. I live in the most conservative part of a really red state but I've never seen so many "I regret voting for Trump" signs in lawns. Everywhere I look, not one Trump supporter who doesn't regret it. It's crazy because everybody here voted Trump 3 times in a row, but it's obvious that this time, it was a mistake. We call him "Trump the Mistake" in my house.

I was at a bar in town on Saturday night. It's the kind of place where working class guys, truckers, and farmers go to unwind after an honest day's work, a real salt-of-the-Earth type of place. We were watching a local high school football game on the TV and one of the players happened to be named Harris, which prompted people in the bar to start talking about Kamala Harris. My dad (a coal-miner) says "y'know, I've voted red since the Reagan administration but I really should have given her a chance. I'm a fool for being so racist and sexist that I couldn't vote for a Brown woman, she was clearly the best choice." Then the local gun store owner, who is also the head of the local KKK chapter, said “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we need to impeach Trump and Vance and replace them with Kamala.” I look around and my face is stunned. All of these hardcore Trump supporters are shaking their heads in agreement. I heard a couple “yes, sir” and “damn straight”. Everyone started nodding and agreeing, and we were talking about how she's not a billionaire so she understands the plight of the middle class. We all call her Middle Class Kamala around these parts.

She was the best candidate for the job, and the only reason she lost is because we were too racist and sexist to realize it. She was basically President for the last 4 years and our economy was booming. We call her Queen Kamala and praise her Kamalaconomy. Anyways just thought I'd throw in my two cents on the matter.

Stock Market Today: Dow Bounces After Market Sell-Off; Tesla Rallies On Musk Pay Package (Live Coverage)

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and other major stock indexes rebounded in morning action Monday following Friday's stock market sell-off. Among the gainers were Palantir Technologies (PLTR) and Tesla (TSLA), the latter of which rallied on the stock market today after the company approved a new pay package for Chief Executive Elon Musk.

After the opening bell, the Dow rose 0.6%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.7%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq composite moved up 0.9% in morning trade.

The 10-year Treasury yield ticked lower to 4.2%. Oil prices fell with West Texas Intermediate futures selling around $65.70 a barrel.

Stock Market Today: Palantir, Figma, Shopify, Spotify
Just after the stock market open, Palantir Technologies, Figma (FIG), Shopify (SHOP) and Spotify (SPOT) were among the big movers.

Tesla Stock Rallies On Musk Pay Package
The electric-vehicle giant approved a new pay package for CEO Elon Musk, awarding him 96 million shares. As of Friday's close, those shares were worth about $29 billion. The shares only vest if Musk stays CEO through 2027, and they have a five-year holding period.

The pay package comes in place of the 2018 incentive deal for Musk that was blocked by a Delaware court. It will act as interim compensation should that 2018 deal be reinstated, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said in a note to clients.

"We believe this grant will now keep Musk as CEO of Tesla at least until 2030 and removes an overhang on the stock," Ives said.

Not gonna lie, former Trump voter here. This is fucking hilarious watching Trump crash and burn. But in all seriousness we can't let this guy get the nuclear codes.

God this resonates so much. So, my uncle-who's been farming since forever and was all-in on Trump-just told me he's thinking about voting for Kamala Harris. I couldn't believe it. The guy's got a MAGA hat in his truck, for crying out loud! But he said she came to town and actually talked about stuff that matters to them, like fixing their busted internet, getting real healthcare out there, and sticking it to the big corporations screwing over farmers. He goes, "She's the first one who actually seems to get it. Not just running her mouth." And I'm sitting there like, "Holy crap, if you're thinking of flipping, Trump's so screwed." I mean, if someone like my uncle—who's been hardcore Republican his whole life—is even considering jumping ship, Trump's gotta be losing sleep. The dude's base is starting to crack, and if more folks like my uncle switch sides, Trump's not just in trouble—he's totally fucked. 2024's gonna be a shitshow, no doubt. Trump thought he had rural America locked down, but if my uncle's ready to ditch him, he's in for a rude awakening.

I have the same experience. Most republicans I know (friends, coworkers, neighbours) have all told me they regret voting for Trump. He promised lower egg prices, and instead got us into a trade war with our allies, women's and LGBTQ+ rights abolished, a billionaire has seized control of private citizen's data and federal funds, our military is about to invade Gaza (so much for no new wars lel), he's appointed literal traitors to his cabinet, armed ICE agents are raiding schools and children's hospitals, and EGG PRICES HAVENT GONE DOWN.
I know it's hard to admit you're wrong, but Trump is literally one of the biggest mistakes in American history.
