I got some fiesta red paint and sealer from Stew Mac, imma paint the JM headstock. I watched an inbred Brit do one on youtube and if he can into it, I can do it. I’m going to take my time with it and probably practice on something less expensive first. The previous owner of my blue Vintera Mustang painted the headstock on it and did a pretty good job matching the color gradient and metallic of the body. I could just buy a 60th anniversary JM in fiesta red that has matching headstock but I kinda want a white JM eventually for my traditional JM.

This. It’s purely about feel and playability for me, there are instances where rosewood would look better aesthetically but given the choice I’d go maple every time. This JM has one of the nicest neck and fretboard feels out of anything I’ve ever played. It and my Strat have exceptionally comfortable necks.
