Oh, I'm well aware. Sega's been mishandling Metal Sonic for quite a while now although at this point, it'd be easier to say what characters haven't been mishandled, am I right?
It's a shame too, because Metal is A. evil, B. intensely jealous of Sonic and C. a machine that can be upgraded. Metal SHOULD be ever evolving, ever advancing to keep up with Sonic, especially when he has enough drive to go against whatever countermeasures Eggman programs into him to try to keep him in line.
But he has to wait in line behind Shadow and the other rivals and Sega never really gave him something like Eggman's SA2 arc or Bowser in the Mario RPGs where he gets to strut his stuff and remind people why he's a threat. The closest to that is probably either Heroes or Rivals 2.
