I am taking money from disability 1276 CAD a month, 390 CAD goes to my rent, 280 goes to my child support for my 3 kids. I am left with 600$ for the month. It leaves me with free time for the whole month.
Naturally 600$ a month isn't a lot to live off of, I have internet and 30$ a month cell phone my power bill is subsidized and is 0$ a month 8 months of the year, when I put my ACs in from June - Sept usually its like 40-60$
The Best part is that I work with a contractor who does flooring, for 160$ a day, its sporadic work, always in a new location, The contractor even picks me up and drops me off at home since we close by, he pays me all straight cash which I obviously don't claim. I saved up $3000 CAD stashed in my freezer which is about $12.50 USD
I like working sporadically, taking advantage of subsidized rent and free GIBBS while having all the free time but choosing to work when its available. I can work up to 5 days a week $800 although I get time off also, Ive had 7 days off (not including weekends)
