>We were told that pursuing a STEM degree is our ticket to a decent living
Yeah I never believed the whole decent living crap. I thought I was just getting a boring unimpressive job with ordinary pay (without too much normie corporate bs) that involved staring at a computer screen.

The system is such a huge scam that even the nerdy uncool STEM degree jobs that people looked down on 15 years ago have been rug-pulled. The only question is what career is the next leg to fall to the outsourcing/insourcing scam? My money is on nursing. Nursing pays well but it involves wiping boomer asses.

I believe you unironically. I sent out 700+ resumes to get a temp job at a warehouse in Canada a few years back. It's probably much worse now.
