There are too many people on the internet which is what led to it being a shallow overly monetized shithole.
Where there are people there is money and where there is money everything goes to shit.
It went from being a fun place for nerds and people with nothing better to do into a place where people started running to to attempt to be someone.
You can see as much from simply comparing the content being made on youtube in the old days to what content on youtube is now.
People weren't taking out loans to get studio tier equipment before, they were just fucking around.
As the platform grew and the internet became a more normalized thing in society the quality of content started going up and became corporate slop.
A comparable thing happened to this site, as the number of people using it started going up more normies and retards started pouring in and the quality of content went to shit because the good people got fed up with all the garbage the retards were putting up.
Twitter was a fine platform until more people started making accounts and it became a platform for facebook moms and rednecks to share their political opinions and the people who were using the site for what it was meant for left.
The only good corners left on the internet are the sites no one knows about or uses, they might get a handful of posts each month but by God are those posts worth the wait.
More people attracts more people, more people means higher chance of shit, the more shit the less people that care want to be there, less people attracts people that actually give a fuck.
I could go on all day, point being more people = bad, less people = good.
But alas, time cannot be turned back and this is what we are left with.
