Eh, I'm not overly invested in DC in general but I understand not wanting the shit you like to get discontinued. Will they try again? Most likely. But it might take a while (8 years between Batman and Robin and Batman Begins) and even if they do it'll be starting over again with no consistency.
Fans don't want every iteration of these things to be a one-off. If we only ever got the first film in a series before they gave up and rebooted we'd have never got Superman II or Batman Returns or The Dark Knight or any of the better X-Men movies
