Use the shred cmd on it a minimal of 7 times over to set the disk to jabber, then take it apart, smash the disk, and melt it in a furnace, then get out a drill and go back for the chips on the PCB to make sure it has no usable chips, and for good measure I keep a microwave I like to run em through for the pcb. After that make sure you dispose of itnin different locations each at least 90 miles apart from the rest site. As for the old case you can use it as a cute diy wallet depending on the disk drive. Repair retard here from /g/ who did this for a living for a bit. Be conservative with whatever liquid solvent you use as phones are the pickiest bitches and some are worse than others and pixels are definintly in the worse category in my opinion.
