Finally done with the tl of sylvies story. I don't know if them visiting the old world was a novel pack in story that's not included or something yet untranslated. Ultimately I found it worth rereading and maybe I'll even do so again which would be the minimum for me to say I like something. The beginning is extremely rough and the ending is cs3 level retarded for the first arc. I abhor the way Sophia's treatment was given. I don't genuinely believe that they are friends and it's a grevious enough wound that I fully expect a bigger shoe to drop, however given the fact that mia was glossed over I suspect the author has no intention for Sylvia to truly make real ammends to immediately betraying Sophia's trust like that, and the narrative weight of that decision is incredible given clair is the reason she took part and given clairs very strong opinion morally on including everyone for the final battle tm, the fact that she and Sylvia had never addressed her loss in any meaningful way is preposterous levels of walk back. But this is kind of what I grow to expect from kr writers sadly. the redonculous thing is that despite not being sure of the translation, I can't really consider sylvies reason for betraying the goddess is justified by anything the goddess suggested. Erasing her doesn't come out of anywhere. Sylvia just suddenly says that after the fact like it's true, and the same way she finds out the identity of the masked individual, she comes up with a story that contradicts the first person account we have from said masked person.
I don't really know if more will become available but it's sheer irony that Sylvie is bitching about Sophia getting a quick character arc in the game when her reconciliation with Sylvie is absolutely undeserved.
