You got to give Good Feel praise for one thing: They know how to make games feel good on your eyes AND your ears. I didn't expect less from them on this game's art and music design and they surely didn't disappoint so far; the game is so adorably presented and the music is a treat to listen to.
Controls feel way better as well, it captures that feel for speed of the original Yoshi's Island that makes Yoshi so fun to control, they fixed essentially EVERYTHING that was wrong with New Island's controls and I can't stress enough how much of a good thing that is. The gameplay is very grounded too, the level design and collectables are neatly done and there seems to be no real punishment for overlooking some in your way, you have the option to backtrack in most circumstances and I heavily appreciate that, it is exactly what I specially hated Good Feel for back in Wario Land Shake It. Hopefully it will keep this direction going forward.
Surprised it actually lives up to the Epic Yarn comparison, this feels so mellow in the heart and I love it.
