It does feel like it would be out of character for Toby to hide something like this only to make it important later. We're no strangers to fans digging up more meaning from his stuff than he ever intended. If he was asked about whether monsters poop, he'd probably laugh at the absurdity of the question and then not answer it.
But seriously, what happens when Kris gets locked up for a few hours for delinquency? Does Undyne just give him a bucket or something?

I know that the school and hospital are probably supposed to be abstractions and there may be doors we can't see in the walls and yada-yada-yada. But it's weird that there isn't a single bathroom sign in the game at this point. Does Kris just... not go? Or is there a toilet in the school just for him?
Also, the restaurants in your town have no toilets? What happens if you have an allergic reaction or, god forbid, get food poisoning? Are there other public buildings nearby that have toilets available, or are you supposed to just take yourself out back? You're putting a lot of extra faith in those chefs.

I mean, Spamton's clearly schizophrenic. Not just the "funny haha take your pills" schizo, I mean really schizophrenic. He's constantly projecting his misery onto others, badmouthing the people he once knew, and desiring violence for both revenge and pleasure. It's easy to forget through all the years of memes that Spamton is a dangerously evil madman for the majority of the time we see him. We hear Tenna's point of view in Chapter 3, and to him one day Spamton just went crazy after a phone call and thought that he'd been betrayed somehow.
Sorry for the tangent, this is just where the discussion started.
