Mostly from idiots.
Technically, nVidia does engineer a superior card packed with a lot technology that AMD is way behind on. BUT, it's whether or not you're actually going to USE that technology.
I'm not a brand loyalist, I don't give a shit about any company. But, zoomers, will literally tie their individual identity to a product or corporation.
Now, back to my first point. Is it worth spending $1500, $2000, or even more for a bunch of technology you're never going to use? I know, I know.... everyone here will be like, "Ohhh I am going to use AI, I am, maybe *tomorrow.*" They'll never use it.
So, to answer your question, here's the breakdown of where the hate comes from:
>Literal Paid Shills. All big corporations pay money to have shills push their shitty products on social media, but here on /v/ nVidia is one of the worst. Them along with Blizzard and Nintendo for sure.
>Techlets. In this group you have retards who get all their tech knowledge from Linus No-Tech Tits. These idiots couldn't tell you the difference between ROM and RAM, so they just parrot what the funny man on YouTube tells them.
>Zoomer Brand Loyalists: Your zoom zooms who will defend their favorite company company to the death.
>Consooomer NPCs: Kind of a combination of the brand loyalist and techlets. Their sister's boyfriends cat told them, 15 years ago, that AMD drivers were bad, and they cling to that, being too lazy to do any research. They are also the types who buy FOTM under FOMO. Because they wasted two months of rent for a video card they'll never fully use, they get REALLY defensive if you mention how your $500 card works perfectly fine.
There are a couple of others that I forgot to mention, but for me? I am self-aware enough to realize I am never going to use muh AI, so I am not going to spend $2000 for a meme. My 7800XT lets me game at 1440p with frames well above 60 - and that's all I need, so that $450 card will last me for a good while.
