I do this constantly but for a different reason, the older I've gotten the more picky I've become about reading, if anything about a book puts me off in even the slightest I'll drop it and move on to the next, I really wish I wasn't like that and would just finish things but the exact moment something bothers me even a little bit my brain switches to "fuck it this is bad and you have a dozen other things to read that are probably better" and repeat
